Scotland's Mental Health First Aid

A 12 hour course originally developed in Australia now adapted to better suit the needs of people in Scotland.
The course does not train partcipants to be a therapist, counsellor or mental health professional. It will teach you to give initial help to
someone experiencing a mental health problem, deal with a crisis situation and guide people towards appropriate professional help.

Health Issues In The Community

A training course designed for anyone with an intersest in community development.
Using a variety of methods the course introduces a social model of health and explores themes such as inequalities, power and participation.
The course is free to local people and local volunteers.

CHANGES Stress Management Course

Our Changes stress manangement course is for residents of Cambuslang and Rutherglen who are finding stress an issue. The course will help people build confidence, develop a realistic outlook and increase control over their life.

Information Station

We dont have any info stalls at the moment, new venues to be announced soon in the meantime you can tune in to their show on CamGlen Radio 107.9FM Tuesdays 1pm- 2pm.

The Parent Cafés

Wednesdays 11:30am until 1:30pm and The Follow On Group Fridays 10am until 12 noon both at Whitlawburn Community Resource Centre. Thursdays 13:30pm until 3pm at Burnhill Sports Centre. A chance for parents and carers of babies and toddlers to have a cuppa and share information and support.

Bike Town Social Rides

These social rides are a fantastic way to get out the house, stay active and meet new people all the while enjoying the beautiful outdoors, watching the world go by. The group meets every Wendesday at 10.15am, anyone who lives within the G72 & G73 area who doesn't have a bike are also welcome to borrow one of our stock. Bike Town is located at Unit 5 Thomson Court, Rutherglen, G73 2RR.
