Bike Town Strava Club

We can now be found on every cyclists favourite cycling app, Strava. If you live or work in G72/73 please join the CamGlen Bike Town Strava Club

Our Strava club will allow us to keep track of car replacement journeys, which we need for funding purposes. If you cycle to work or use your bike for everyday activities such as shopping, visiting friends, days out etc, then please record these as 'commute' rides and we will be able to use this data to calculate the carbon savings achieved from travelling by bicycle rather than by car.

Excitingly, we are in the process of moving from the container to new premises near Aldi and this is where the lessons shall take place.
  • Level 1 is for aimed at giving hope to the hopeless. If you hail a taxi when you get a flat or have no idea whether to put grease or oil on your chain, this is for you. Changing tubes, safety checking a bike and basic bike maintenance covered
  • Level 2 is about gears and braking systems. It covers a lot and so has been fattened out to two lessons.
  • Level 3 includes bottom bracket adjustment, headsets and wheel truing.
Classes are free to those residing within G72 and G73 postcode areas. Places limited to six. You will be working in pairs. Please let us know if cannot make it so we can off the spot to someone else.
